She has been teaching dance for over 50 years and has been a Mentor and Practical Teaching Supervisor for the RAD teacher’s training course (CBTS). For more information, please check out her biography.

Mrs. Margaret Stephen has been teaching ballet for many years in and around Saskatchewan. She has trained professionally with The Scottish Ballet, and has been heavily involved in RAD training both as a certified teacher and a Practical Teaching Supervisor. Please read her biography here. April Pilates Workshop (FINAL!!)

Our LAST Pilates session of the season is booked for Sunday, April 29 from 2:00 – 3:00pm. This one is at a different location – Chelsea’s Pilates Studio (please see directions below). There are only 10 spots for this one, and registration closes on Thursday, April 26, so reserve your spot soon!

Directions to Chelsea’s Studio: This is a small studio built on as an addition to a residential home in River Heights. The address is 117 Capilano Crt, but parking is best available on Assiniboine Dr or Capilano Dr, rather than Capilano Crt itself. The studio entrance is a door that is set back slightly on the left side when facing the house. If parking on Assiniboine, find the catwalk between 241 & 245 Assiniboine Dr – this will lead you to a brick wall then an opening in a hedge where you will find the studio entrance (see map below).

Caelia will do her best to be out and about to help direct people to the door! As always, text or call with any concerns.

November Pilates Workshop

Dance Alive is holding another Pilates Workshop with Madison Rajchyba!! Pilates is a great way to access and strengthen the core muscles needed for ballet dancing. Madison is a trained dancer as well as Pilates instructor, so her workshops are invaluable for dancers like us trying to access our intrinsic core. This is a beginner level workshop focusing on education and technique in a low-impact but challenging way. You’ll be sore in places you didn’t know existed, but you won’t be dying and exhausted by the end of the class.

The workshop will be held on Sunday, November 19 from 2:00 – 4:00pm. Exact class times will be determined based on interest. Location this time is at Saskatoon Pilates Centre (1801 Lorne Ave). Class fee is only $15 per person!! If you missed the last one, make sure you come try this one out!
