3rd Annual DAS Show: TRANSITIONS

We are SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE that we will be presenting a LIVE DANCE SHOW at TCU Place on Saturday, August 21! This will be our 3rd Annual DAS Show and we will be performing IN-PERSON for you on the big stage!

The DAS Show this year is titled TRANSITIONS, to represent all the changes we have experienced in the last two years: a pandemic, a lock-down, a new home, a new team, and a complete re-imagining of our entire program. Our dancers often say that some of the hardest parts of the choreography to learn are the TRANSITIONS, and we feel that is such an accurate statement for the past year and a half.

We have been working on group choreography since the Adult Dance restriction was lifted on April 29, 2021 and we are just thrilled to share our celebration of resilience, perseverance, and togetherness with you in a month. We are MOST excited to be sharing this with you on TCU PLACE STAGE, a rare treat for our small studio! Details below:

Date:             Saturday, August 21, 2021

Location:       TCU Place (!!!!)

Doors open:  6:00 pm

Show starts:  6:30 pm (~1.5 hour length)

Tickets:          In-person Adult — $38.00

To buy in-person tickets, visit the TCU Place Box Office link or call the box office at 306-975-7799. You must call to order a single ticket or more than two (2) at a time.

To buy Virtual Tickets, visit our product link on our DAS Store and read the instructions there! This will give you access to a Live Stream on the day of, a rough recording immediately following the performance, and a more polished recording with audio editing and subtitles later in September. This will also give you access to a Viewing Party held at the studio later in September or October – stay tuned for details.

Stay tuned, and join our Facebook event to keep up to date on developments and to share your excitement with friends!

Proceeds are going toward supporting our staff on a much-needed break after the show 🙂 Additional profits will be shared with other professional performers in the show and donations to community-supporting and Indigenous groups like Prairie Harm Reduction and Okihtcitawak Patrol Group. Please help us raise enough money to meet our goals!

We are also currently accepting BUSINESS SPONSORSHIPS via ads in the program ($50 for quarter page, $100 for half page, $150 for full page and more!). If you would like to be involved, please contact us as soon as possible!

DAS Culture Holiday Party

Dance Alive Studios and Dance Culture by Bri are joining forces this holiday season to bring you a combined Holiday Party at the Underground Cafe on Friday, December 14 from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am. This is a fully licensed venue with both appetizers and meals available for order, so bring your money and your appetites!

There is limited space for this event so we ask that you please RSVP “Attending” to the link below if you’d like to attend. If you RSVP with “Interested”, a space will not be reserved for you, but you will continue to receive event updates. For the time being, this is a child-free event and we also ask that you only bring one guest at most to begin with to allow more room for other dancers to attend. If we have lots of space still closer to the event, we will open it up for more friends!

DAS Culture Holiday Party RSVP link (e-Vite)

Spots will be given on a first come, first serve basis. If you learn that you cannot attend, but have already RSVPed with “Attending”, please notify us as soon as possible so we can open up spots for more party-goers. Dance Alive Studios and Dance Culture reserve the right to charge for no-shows on the night of the event.

There is no entrance fee for this event, but if you’d like to help with the cost of the venue rental, a suggested contribution of $10 per person would be greatly appreciated.

Hope to see you there!
