We are so happy to welcome back 5-6-7-Cre8, an exciting event series hosted through DAS to support dancer fundraising!! This time, Kelsee & Kylie will be leading you through a beautiful holiday painting, perfect for your holiday decorating or as a gift for someone in your life. Fundraising goes directly toward supporting Kylie & Kelsee in their own dance training. More details on the event are available below:

Ballet Exam Demonstration

We are proud to announce our first ever Ballet Exam Demonstration! Our ballet exam students have been working hard this year to learn and perfect their exam work from the Royal Academy of Dance vocational syllabi! Admission to this event is by donation, and all proceeds will go directly to the dancers to help offset their cost of training. It is very time-consuming and expensive to train in RAD exam work, including the cost of lessons, exam applications, and necessary equipment (like bodysuits and pointe shoes!). Your attendance and donation will go a long way to help support dancers in our community who want to study this beautiful artform in more depth.

The Royal Academy of Dance is an international organization that holds standardized exams all over the world. Some of our dancers are performing their exam with the RAD and some have chosen to learn the work for the purposes of self-study and personal achievement. This demonstration is an opportunity for those performing their exam to get some audience exposure, and for those not performing their exam to still have a milestone and a celebration for completing their training! DAS Showcase 2022

We are very proud to bring you our 2nd ever DAS Showcase! Our Showcase events are intended to share more of our solo and small group pieces from throughout the year, and to help us get back in the dancing mood for the upcoming season! You can expect to see some group pieces that were performed in our June Show CATHARSIS, as well as some solo and duet works from our brand-new Path to Performance program. We are also introducing Works in Progress as an opportunity for our dancers to perform pieces that aren’t quite finished so they can gain audience feedback to help inform the creative process! This event is an interactive, informative experience where audience members are invited to ask questions and give feedback during the show. We are SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE that we will be presenting our annual DAS Show 2022 CATHARSIS on Saturday, June 11 at St Joseph High School! Tickets are on sale now, make sure you get your spot!

The show this year will include group dances from our Adult Recreational dances in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Street, and Acro as well as debut pieces from our one-of-a-kind Path to Performance program, designed to help adult performers create their very own choreographed routines. Photo Week 2022

Our official Recreational Group Class Photo Shoot Week is coming up from Tues May 24 – Fri May 27! This is our first time running our photo shoot in our new space, so please bear with us as we figure out the kinks.

All of the information needed for our dancers is available in the “June Performers” Band group. The link to our DAS Show 2022 Notion Homepage is pinned to the top of that group. That includes information on your hair, make-up, costuming, and schedule. Please contact us if you have any questions about that!

This time they will be teaching you to create your very own UKRAINIAN PYSANKY (EGG DESIGN), the perfect activity right before Easter.
